Randy Orton Plans to Wrestle Beyond 2029

WWE veteran says he’s not slowing down and hopes to re-sign again after current deal

Summary
– Randy Orton signed a five-year WWE contract in August 2024

– He says he wants another five-year deal when it ends in 2029

– Orton is enjoying the ride after recovering from a serious back injury

Randy Orton isn’t thinking about slowing down. He’s already looking beyond the contract he just signed in 2024.

Speaking to Complex, the 14-time world champion said he wants to keep wrestling after his deal expires. “I’d love to sign another five-year contract after that,” Orton said. “I know realistically there’s gonna be a day when I gotta stop. But it’s like, I don’t even think about that because I’m having so much fun right now.”

After returning in 2023 from a back injury that nearly ended his career, Orton appreciates his time in the ring more. “Every second I’m around the guys in the locker room, that camaraderie, there’s nothing like it. Every second I’m in the ring feeling the energy from those fans, there’s nothing like it,” he said. “Knowing that there’s a cap on that, it just makes it easier to make sure that I’m just always enjoying this.”

Currently, Orton has no official WrestleMania 41 match after plans with Kevin Owens were scrapped due to Owens’ neck surgery. But The Viper remains one of WWE’s most dependable stars—and still has time to find a moment in Vegas.
