Survivor Series Fallout and Strong Angles Drive Raw’s Success

Summary

– Raw averaged 1.71 million viewers and a 0.54 rating in the 18-49 demographic

– The episode peaked during the Punk, Rollins, and Zayn segment, drawing 2.02 million viewers

– Ratings showed a 12% increase in viewers and 16% in the key demographic compared to last week

Monday Night Raw delivered its best ratings of the NFL season despite facing tough competition from football. The Denver Broncos vs. Cleveland Browns NFL game aired exclusively on ESPN, pulling in 11.87 million viewers. Without the game airing on ABC or ESPN2, Raw benefited from the absence of football on additional networks.

The show, focused on the fallout from Survivor Series, averaged 1.71 million viewers and a 0.54 rating among 18-49-year-olds. This made it the top entertainment show on cable for the evening, surpassed only by NFL-related programming.

Key highlights of the episode included angles featuring CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Sami Zayn, as well as The New Day and Big E. The second quarter, showcasing the end of Punk’s segment and a tag team match involving Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan, Kairi Sane, and Iyo Sky, reached a high of 2.02 million viewers.

Raw was up by 11% in viewers and 10% in the key demographic compared to the same week last year. Adjusted for the decline in homes receiving USA Network, these figures would translate to even larger gains, with estimated increases of 19% in viewership and 25% in the 18-49 demographic.

Fox News and other entertainment shows like Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and 90 Day The Last Resort trailed behind Raw in viewership and ratings. The absence of the NFL game on additional networks and compelling storytelling contributed significantly to Raw’s success.

Viewership for the two hours broke down as follows:
8 p.m. – 1.82 million viewers
9 p.m. – 1.60 million viewers

With Survivor Series momentum and strong creative angles, Raw continues to gain traction even against formidable NFL competition.
