Wrestling Icon Stays Connected to AEW While Pursuing Longtime Passion for Real Estate
Summary
– Sting has signed a multi-year deal with AEW, focusing on licensing and appearances rather than in-ring competition.
– The deal allows Sting to maintain a presence in AEW while stepping away from wrestling after his retirement match against The Young Bucks.
– Alongside his AEW commitments, Sting is returning to real estate investing, a passion he had before his wrestling career.
Sting, a legendary figure in professional wrestling, has made his future with AEW clear, confirming a new multi-year contract with the company. The deal, which he discussed at the 58th Annual Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion in an interview with The David Difference, marks a shift from wrestling to a role centered around licensing and appearances. Though he won’t be stepping into the ring anymore, this agreement allows Sting to remain a part of AEW’s legacy.
“I signed a multi-year deal with AEW, obviously not to wrestle anymore, but it’s like a licensing deal, a legends deal if you want to call it that. So I’ll do appearances with them on and off, depending on what they want and all,” Sting explained.
Beyond his AEW role, Sting is revisiting a former passion—real estate investing. Before his rise in professional wrestling, Sting was already active in real estate, flipping houses long before it became a popular trend. As his in-ring career winds down, he’s excited to get back into the real estate world.
“I’ve done real estate, I did real estate before I ever was a pro wrestler, so I’ve always loved real estate. A lot of people say, ‘Oh, are you a real estate agent?’ No, I’m not an agent. I’m an investor. I was flipping houses before flipping houses was a term. So I made money in real estate before wrestling, so I’m doing that again, and I love it,” Sting shared.
Sting last appeared at the AEW All In pay-per-view event in August. Fans can look forward to seeing him in future AEW appearances, even as he moves into this new career chapter.
