Nhooph Al-Areebi, formerly known as WWE star Aliyah, has made her long-awaited return to the wrestling ring after two years away. Now competing under her real name, she stepped back into action at a Destiny Wrestling event in her home country of Canada. This marks her first match since September 2022.

Aliyah, a former Women’s Tag Team Champion, was released from WWE in September 2023 after the Endeavor takeover. Despite being medically cleared, she had yet to appear on WWE television in 2023 before her departure. Her last WWE match was on the September 12, 2022 episode of Monday Night Raw, where she and Raquel Rodriguez lost the Women’s Tag Team Championship to Damage CTRL’s IYO SKY and Dakota Kai.

Nhooph expressed her excitement on Instagram, writing, “What a time to be alive 💗.” Her return has fans buzzing about the next steps in her wrestling career as she starts this new chapter.
