Roman Reigns’ Future in WWE: Speculation Surrounding His Return

Uncertainty Looms Ahead of WWE SummerSlam

Summary

– Cody Rhodes ends Roman Reigns’ historic Undisputed WWE Championship reign at WrestleMania 40.

– Reigns’ future with WWE remains uncertain, with increasing speculation about his return.

– Reigns is absent from the promotional material for the August 2 SmackDown.

Roman Reigns, who held WWE under siege for nearly four years and was the face of the company heading into WrestleMania 40, saw his historic Undisputed WWE Championship reign end at the hands of Cody Rhodes. Since then, Reigns’ future in WWE has been uncertain, with expectations of his absence from television programming.

As WWE gears up for its biggest summer event, SummerSlam, speculation about Reigns’ return has been rampant. The rumors intensified last week when the Tribal Chief was spotted training with a well-known friend. Additionally, Reigns was initially advertised for the final SmackDown before SummerSlam, further adding to the anticipation.

However, WWE has seemingly revised its plans for Reigns’ return. Recent promotional material released by WWE and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, for the August 2 SmackDown does not feature Roman Reigns. Instead, the superstars advertised include Cody Rhodes, Bayley, Randy Orton, LA Knight, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair.

While this could suggest that Roman Reigns’ hiatus might extend beyond SummerSlam, it is important to note that his omission from the promotional listing does not necessarily mean he won’t return by then. For now, the WWE Universe eagerly awaits the moment when The Head of the Table resurfaces grandly.
