The interview occurred alongside the Red Sea in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, ahead of the highly anticipated event.

Reflecting on his experiences in Saudi Arabia and the unique atmosphere of international WWE events, Orton expressed his excitement and readiness for the King of the Ring finals. He acknowledged Gunther’s impressive skills and noted that this match would be one of the toughest he’s faced since returning from an 18-month hiatus.

Orton stated:
“I feel like now’s the time. When I first came back at WarGames, Survivor Series, I was just coming back after 18 months out. But now, after six months, I’m ready for someone like Gunther. It’s gonna be hard-hitting, and it might be the toughest match I’ve had since I’ve come back. But I welcome it.”

He also spoke about the significance of the King of the Ring title, aiming to add this accomplishment to his long list of achievements:
“I want that crown, Kayla. I think it would look real nice in my office next to all my other championships. I haven’t been King of the Ring before, and I’m looking to become King of the Ring, simple as that.”

Reflecting on the changes in WWE under Triple H, Orton praised the new direction and emphasized the positive energy and familial atmosphere that Triple H has fostered:
“With Triple H at the helm, I feel like this is the best time to be in the business. He just knows the right thing to do, whether it’s in the ring or outside of the ring.”

As Orton prepares for his clash with Gunther, he remains focused on proving that he can still compete at the highest level and aims to make history by becoming the King of the Ring.
