He was notably absent despite WWE’s interest in involving Austin during WrestleMania 40. Jim Ross provided some insight, suggesting reasons for his non-appearance. On a special episode of Biography on A&E, Austin addressed the possibility of another match, stating that he is content with his WrestleMania 38 performance and feels no need to prove anything further.

“I walked away. I’m happy with what I did. There are people who have done more and lasted more, but I’ve had a good career and I’m happy with it. I have nothing to prove to anyone.”

Kevin Owens also shared his thoughts on meeting and wrestling Austin. Ultimately, ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ is satisfied with his legacy and has no desire to return to the ring.
