During a recent edition of Fightful’s Q&A Podcast, Sean Ross Sapp addressed Malakai Black’s contract status. When asked about it, Sapp confirmed that Black’s contract is nearing extension time should AEW decide to pick it up.

“Yes, his contract is close to extension time if they pick it up.”

In the meantime, Malakai Black is set to challenge Adam Copeland for the TNT Championship at AEW Double or Nothing on May 26th. This match is highly anticipated as fans are eager to see how Black will fare against the Rated R Superstar. Despite some fans speculating that Black might eventually leave AEW, his upcoming match and potential contract extension are significant points of interest.
