Summary

– Taz announces he will miss this week’s AEW Dynamite due to a knee procedure.

– The AEW commentator and former wrestling star have ongoing medical issues.

– Despite needing multiple surgeries, Taz plans to return to Dynamite next week.

Taz, a prominent professional wrestling figure and a current AEW commentator, has announced that he will not be present at this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Citing medical reasons related to his knee, Taz shared that he is undergoing a procedure preventing him from traveling and participating in this week’s broadcast.

Through a post on Twitter, Taz explained the situation to his fans, stating:

“Unfortunately, I will not be at Dynamite tonight. Been getting some treatment on my knee & procedure on opposite knee this week. Flying/travel just not possible, I’ll be back next week. Tonight’s show will be awesome! Make sure you watch LIVE tonight!”

Taz’s medical issues stem from years of intense physical activity during his wrestling career, which have taken a toll on his body. He revealed the need for joint replacements in both his shoulders and knees, indicating a total of four surgeries. However, he has opted to delay these operations for now.

His temporary absence from AEW Dynamite highlights the challenges faced by veteran athletes in managing the long-term health consequences of their sports careers. While Taz is optimistic about a quick return, stating he plans to return as early as next week, fans and colleagues will closely monitor his situation.

The wrestling community has supported Taz during this time, with many expressing their well-wishes and anticipation for his return to the commentary desk. As one of the voices of AEW, Taz’s presence at Dynamite is not only expected but greatly missed when absent.

As AEW continues to deliver high-energy wrestling entertainment, the absence of Taz this week will surely be felt. Still, fans can look forward to his insights and commentary once he is medically cleared to return.
