Located in the New York tri-state area, this state-of-the-art facility is equipped with five studios, including a flagship virtual production stage, developed in partnership with AbelCine and Meptik, showcasing the next generation of Sony Electronics and Disguise technology.
Joe Solari, WWE’s VP of Studio Operations, expressed enthusiasm for the new studio capabilities, emphasizing their potential to revolutionize WWE productions and enhance fan engagement. The facility includes a 5,000 sq. ft. main studio, a 1,500 sq. ft. Cyclorama studio, and a 1,500 sq. ft. volumetric LED studio, among others, providing a broad spectrum of production possibilities.
The Studios at WWE aim to redefine the standards of broadcast, film, and production quality, featuring two control rooms, live audio rooms, robotic camera control, and extensive post-production suites. A highlight is the virtual production stage in Studio 3, offering an immersive environment that rivals the scale of productions like The Mandalorian without necessitating a massive LED wall setup.
Equipment and technical expertise from AbelCine and Meptik have been instrumental in realizing the vision for this facility, with the LED stage showcasing Sony’s Crystal LED Verona technology for unparalleled clarity and color accuracy. WWE is the first U.S. facility to utilize this technology, setting a new benchmark for LED display quality.
Integrating Sony’s Virtual Production Tool Set and the VENICE 2 digital cinema camera into Studio 3 will enable WWE to create visually stunning and color-accurate content, leveraging the Disguise visual experience platform for advanced virtual production workflows.
Joe Solari asserts that The Studios at WWE offers unmatched production support and capabilities within Connecticut, setting a new standard for studio space and technological innovation in the region.
