The highly anticipated Suits spin-off started making headlines as they cast yet another actor to their world of legal drama. According to reports, The Walking Dead actor Josh McDermitt has been hired to join Stephen Amell in the spin-off series Suits: L.A. appearing as Stuart Lane in the upcoming show, McDermitt is set to star opposite Amell.

Following the television success of Suits, which ran for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019, the show continued to find new audiences with its availability on streaming platforms. Witnessing the popularity of the series, starring Meghan Markle, creator Aaron Korsh realized the fanbase could be brought together again with a new spin-off series.

Therefore, connecting the new show to the original series’ universe, Aaron Korsh came up with a spin-off series, Suits: L.A. Although, as of now, it’s not clear which characters from the first show will return in the spin-off, reports revealed a new cast for the show. According to NBC, it has been noted that Stephen Amell will play the lead character, Ted Black, in Suits: L.A.

Additionally, it has been recently revealed that opposite Stephen Amell, The Walking Dead actor Josh McDermitt is also set to join the cast. Hired to play Stuart Lane in Suits: L.A., McDermitt will appear as an old friend of Amell’s character, Ted Black. As per the show’s description, Black has been introduced as a former federal prosecutor from New York who joined forces with his old buddy, Lane, to build their L.A. law firm, Black Lane Law.

After the reports from NBC about the casting of Josh McDermitt as Stuart Lane, opposite Stephen Amell’s Ted Black, hit social media, fans started getting nostalgic for one specific reason. Initially losing their minds to see the show’s stellar cast, netizens began comparing similar casting from the original show.

People lost their minds as soon as they began reconnecting the casting from the spin-off with the original Suits. Learning about Ted and Stuart’s storyline that makes the majority of the plot, fans call out how they both appear similar to that of Gabriel Macht’s character Harvey Specter and Rick Hoffman’s Louis Litt.
