WWE is gearing up for a major shift in its television landscape, as the company’s flagship weekly program, WWE Raw, is set to move to Netflix in January 2025. This transition follows a groundbreaking long-term partnership between WWE and Netflix, marking a significant change in how WWE content is consumed globally.

According to WWE’s corporate website, Netflix will exclusively host Raw in the US, Canada, UK, and Latin America, with plans to expand to additional territories over time. This deal extends beyond Raw, encompassing all WWE shows and specials outside the US, including SmackDown, NXT, and premium live events like WrestleMania.

Mark Shapiro, TKO President and COO, emphasized the transformative nature of this partnership, stating that it combines WWE’s “can’t-miss” product with Netflix’s extraordinary global reach. This move will secure significant and predictable economics for WWE for many years.

Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria expressed excitement about bringing WWE Raw to Netflix, aiming to deliver more joy and value to both WWE and Netflix audiences. With 1,600 episodes, Raw has been a cornerstone of sports entertainment since its debut in 1993. The show, currently the number one program on USA Network, draws 1.75 million unique viewers annually and performs strongly in the 18-49 demographic.

The move to Netflix marks a significant shift in the media landscape, bringing weekly live sports entertainment to a global streaming platform. This transition is expected to expand WWE’s reach dramatically and get a new dimension to weekly live appointment viewing on Netflix.
