Dynamite Returns to Regular Time Slot with Impressive Numbers
AEW Dynamite made a triumphant return to its regular Wednesday night slot on TBS, pulling in an average of 901,000 viewers. This marks a significant 48 percent increase from the previous week when the show was rescheduled to Tuesday due to MLB playoff coverage on TBS. When compared to the episode from two weeks ago, which was the last to air in its regular time slot, the viewership has surged by 126 percent. This makes it the second-highest audience for Dynamite since July 19.
In the key 18-49 demographic, Dynamite secured a 0.31 rating, showing a 192 percent rise from the previous week and a 107 percent increase from two weeks ago. This ties with the highest rating the show has achieved in this demographic since August 19. On the cable sports charts, Dynamite was only surpassed by an MLB American League Championship Series game on FS1 and its pregame show.
Comparing year-over-year data, Dynamite’s viewership has grown by 198 percent, and its 18-49 rating has increased by 192 percent from the same week in 2022. It’s worth noting that Dynamite was moved to Tuesday last year and faced stiff competition from NXT, the MLB playoffs, and the NBA opening night. Despite these challenges, this year’s ratings show the highest year-over-year growth for Dynamite in a full year.
