WWE Gears Up for a Packed Show in Chicago

The Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, is gearing up to host the 2023 Survivor Series on Saturday, November 25. This isn’t the venue’s first rodeo with the event; it previously played host in 1989 and 2019. Given the arena’s history with Survivor Series, the anticipation for this year’s show is palpable.

This year marks the 37th edition of the annual Survivor Series pay-per-view. Notably, it’s the first Survivor Series since the formation of TKO, a result of the groundbreaking merger between WWE and UFC.

WrestleTix has highlighted that WWE is going the extra mile for this event. Originally a sold-out show, WWE has now reconfigured the seating to accommodate even more fans. The new setup boasts a total of 15,342 seats, an increase of 2,784 from the original configuration. This expansion includes the addition of Sections 105, 108, 205, and 208, hinting at a potential change in the stage setup. Interestingly, this seating arrangement will also be in place for the Smackdown event scheduled at the same venue a day prior.

One of the major talking points is the return of WarGames for the 2023 Survivor Series. While the men’s match is confirmed, there’s still uncertainty regarding a WarGames match for the women. With only a few weeks post-Crown Jewel to finalize the event, the booking promises to be intense and unpredictable.

Despite the allure of local legend CM Punk, WWE doesn’t require his star power to fill the Allstate Arena. Currently, there’s no dialogue between Punk and WWE, following the company’s decision not to engage in discussions with him.

With the expanded seating, even more fans will have the opportunity to witness Survivor Series live. As the date approaches, the wrestling community is buzzing with excitement, and it’s almost a guarantee that the Allstate Arena will be bursting at the seams with enthusiastic fans.
