Baron Corbin’s Wrestling Evolution: From Finishers to Championships

The WWE Superstar Opens Up About His Journey, Finishers, and the Dynamics of Multi-Man Matches

Baron Corbin, a prominent figure in the WWE landscape, recently sat down with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful to discuss various facets of his wrestling career. The conversation touched upon several intriguing aspects, from the protection of his finisher to his knack for multi-man matches.

Corbin’s finisher, the “End of Days,” has been a topic of discussion for its impeccable protection over the years. It was a move that saw no one, not even the likes of John Cena or Roman Reigns, kick out of it. However, that changed at WrestleMania, marking a significant shift in its legacy. Corbin revealed, “I’ve fought for a long time [to protect it]. I’ve always been a guy who has done everything they’ve asked… I’ve always been in the world championship stuff with Roman, with Seth, multiple times fighting for the title but have never gotten it.” The decision to have someone kick out of the “End of Days” wasn’t Corbin’s, and he candidly admitted his reservations about it.

Another highlight of the interview was Corbin’s perspective on multi-man matches. He has consistently showcased his ability to shine in these scenarios, often alongside agile performers like Ricochet. Corbin attributes this success to his approach: “When I go into a match, my number one thought process is, how do we make this the best match possible? How does everybody gain something from it?” This team-first mentality, he believes, is the key to creating memorable bouts that elevate everyone involved.

Corbin also touched upon his evolution in WWE, emphasizing his commitment to taking on challenging characters and making them resonate with the audience. His adaptability and dedication to the craft have made him a mainstay in the company, even if he hasn’t clinched a world championship yet.

The interview provided a candid look into the mindset of a superstar who has been at the forefront of many pivotal WWE moments. With his unwavering passion and commitment, Baron Corbin’s journey in the wrestling world is far from over.
