Carlito expressed, “I always had a deep affection for WWE and envisioned a return. However, the perceived animosity from both ends created a barrier. Over time, perspectives change, and I’ve always held WWE close to my heart. I needed a hiatus, albeit not one that lasted 13 years.”
He elaborated on the misconceptions that might have arisen from his behavior. “I avoid going backstage just to greet everyone; it gives off the vibe that I’m seeking employment. My achievements speak for themselves. I wanted to be in a place where I’m genuinely wanted. My credentials are out there. If WWE wanted me, they knew where to find me.”
Fortunately, bridges were mended, and both parties were able to clear the air, reaffirming their mutual respect and admiration for each other. Carlito’s recent interactions on WWE programming, including a backstage segment involving Bobby Lashley, hint at promising storylines for the superstar.
