A Deep Dive into the Artifacts of D-Generation X: From Shawn Michaels to Mike Tyson
In a recent episode of A&E’s “The Hall of Fame” podcast, the iconic Lita teamed up with WWE archivist Ben Brown to explore some of the most treasured artifacts from the rebellious era of D-Generation X (DX).
The duo began by examining Shawn Michaels’ gear from the infamous Montreal Screwjob at Survivor Series. Adorned with the DX logo, this particular attire stands out as one of the most recognizable pieces from Michaels’ illustrious career. During a memorable DX segment, Lita and Ben also discussed a shirt ripped off Mike Tyson. This shirt, revealing Tyson’s allegiance to DX, marked a significant moment in WWE history, especially given Tyson’s eventual alignment with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
Another highlight from the collection was Triple H’s gear from his entrance at WrestleMania XIV. This marked his initial association with DX at the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania.
While the artifacts showcased were undoubtedly iconic, Lita emphasized the importance of representing all DX members, including the New Age Outlaws, X-Pac, and the late, great Chyna. Ben revealed they have leads on more DX memorabilia, including the Jeep invasion from the legendary DX invasion angle. Additionally, Lita mentioned her plans to meet with Kathy, Chyna’s sister, in hopes of uncovering more artifacts from the Ninth Wonder of the World’s time with DX.
As the search continues, fans can only anticipate the treasures that will be unearthed, shedding light on one of wrestling’s most rebellious and influential factions.
