Eric Bischoff Discusses Mustafa Ali’s Potential After WWE Release

In a recent episode of “83 Weeks,” Eric Bischoff delved deep into the recent release of Mustafa Ali from WWE and speculated on the wrestler’s future endeavors. Bischoff, a significant figure in the wrestling industry, shared his insights and personal experiences with Ali, painting a picture of a dedicated and ambitious athlete.

Mustafa Ali, known for his high-flying maneuvers and captivating in-ring storytelling, has been a standout talent in WWE. Bischoff mentioned that he has been in regular contact with Ali since 2019, albeit not daily or even monthly. Their communication, mostly through texts, has given Bischoff a unique perspective on Ali’s mindset and aspirations.

Bischoff praised Ali’s drive, ambition, and talent, stating that he wouldn’t be surprised to see him in AEW soon. He emphasized that Ali’s motivation might have been further ignited by his release, hinting at a potential resurgence in another promotion.

Interestingly, Bischoff also touched upon a scheduled match between Mustafa Ali and Dominic Mysterio at NXT’s No Mercy for the North American Title. The sudden release of Ali, just days before this significant bout, left many fans and insiders puzzled. Bischoff expressed his surprise, suggesting that WWE could have timed the release differently, perhaps after the match or even a month later.

Bischoff also addressed rumors about Ali’s dissatisfaction with WWE. While he acknowledged that Ali might have been frustrated with his character’s direction and his inability to “crack the code,” he emphasized that such feelings are common in the talent business. Whether it’s actors, musicians, or wrestlers, the challenge of constantly reinventing oneself is ever-present.

In wrapping up his thoughts, Bischoff expressed his belief that Ali’s disappointment would soon transform into determination. He anticipates that Ali will channel this energy to prove that WWE’s decision to release him was a misstep.
