Summary
– Zilla Fatu defeated Charlie Dempsey in a Very Nice, Very Evil Match
– BirthRight members interfered and used weapons against Fatu
– Fatu finished Dempsey with a Frog Splash after hitting Triple Z
Zilla Fatu overcame Charlie Dempsey and repeated interference from BirthRight to win their Very Nice, Very Evil Match at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 31.
Fatu opened strong with running corner splashes and a bodyslam, but Dempsey answered with a gut-wrench suplex and a German suplex for a near fall. The fight spilled outside, where Stacks and Uriah Connors attacked Fatu.
Lexis King then slid a shovel toward Fatu, but Dempsey used it to strike him from behind. Dempsey and BirthRight continued targeting Fatu’s arm and hand, while a steel chain and an octopus stretch added to the punishment.
Fatu fought back with clotheslines, a lariat, and a senton. He also took out King and Stacks before dropping Connors onto his own teammate, then planted Dempsey with a Samoan Drop.
Dempsey stopped Fatu’s first attempt at Triple Z with the shovel, but Fatu recovered and hit the move. He climbed to the top rope and landed a Frog Splash to secure the pinfall.
The win gave Fatu a strong moment after BirthRight repeatedly intervened. Their attacks slowed him down, but Dempsey could not keep him down long enough to take the victory.
