A Behind-the-Scenes Mishap That Left Bruce Prichard with a Shattered Face
In a recent episode of “Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard”, Bruce delved into a harrowing incident involving “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar. The incident took place in Halifax during a segment with the FBI (Full-Blooded Italians). The scene was set up in such a way that Brock was tricked into entering a room, which was then blocked by a tow truck. However, due to structural issues and a series of unfortunate events, the room started caveating in on Lesnar.
Bruce described the panic that ensued, with the walls of the room collapsing and Brock, in his desperation to escape, inadvertently causing a large piece of sheetrock to smash into Bruce’s face. The impact was so severe that it broke Bruce’s nose in three places, shattered his orbital bone, and caused his sinus to cave in.
Despite the intense pain and the blood pouring from his injuries, Bruce’s immediate concern was for Brock’s safety. It was only when other WWE personnel, including The Big Show, intervened that Bruce realized the extent of his injuries. The Big Show, noticing the severity of the situation, immediately got Bruce to sit down and called for medical assistance.
Brock Lesnar, ever the professional, was deeply apologetic about the accident. Bruce recalled how, upon his return home, he was greeted with two large boxes filled with lobsters and crabs, a gesture from Lesnar to express his regret over the incident.
While the incident was a freak accident and no one was to blame, it serves as a reminder of the unpredictability of the wrestling business and the potential dangers that lurk behind the scenes.
