Queen Aminata captured the AEW TBS Championship by defeating Persephone in the main event of Fright Night Dynamite on October 28. The win gave Aminata her first championship in AEW and ended Persephone’s reign.
Britt Baker accompanied Persephone and repeatedly tried to turn the match in the champion’s favor. She distracted Aminata during key moments, giving Persephone openings to target Aminata’s neck and keep the challenger on the defensive.
Aminata fought back with a double stomp and sent Persephone crashing into a chair at ringside. Baker then struck Aminata with the championship belt while the referee checked on Persephone. The champion followed with a moonsault, but Aminata kicked out.
Persephone tried to finish the match with a crucifix bomb, but Aminata escaped and landed a headbutt. She followed with Off With Her Head to score the three-count and claim the title. Several wrestlers came to the ring to celebrate with the new champion.
