PlayStation Announces a New VR Swordfighting Game Set to Release on Sep 19

PlayStation has announced its latest addition to the PS VR2 gaming lineup, “Broken Edge.” The game invites players to pick up a sword and immerse themselves in intense martial arts battles. Set to release on September 19, “Broken Edge” promises to offer players the ultimate warrior fantasy experience.

The game’s announcement trailer showcases fierce 1v1 battles, where players can choose from iconic fighters, including a Samurai, Knight, Pirate, and more. With eight characters available at launch, each fighter brings a unique playstyle inspired by their distinct martial art. For instance, while the Duelist focuses on fencing techniques, the Samurai employs a rapid slash-pause-quick slash pattern. As players master these styles, their blade fills with energy, allowing them to inflict significant damage on their opponents, potentially achieving victory in a single stroke.

One of the standout features of “Broken Edge” is the inclusion of adaptive triggers and haptic support, enhancing the overall VR experience. The game also boasts an online leaderboard, challenging players to ascend the ranks and prove their mettle.
