Rob Van Dam Clarifies Rumors Surrounding His AEW Appearance

Rob Van Dam (RVD), a name synonymous with technical prowess in the wrestling ring, recently made waves with his appearances on AEW television. However, the speculation surrounding his AEW debut caught the attention of many. Did he betray WWE? The answer might surprise many.

RVD has always been a crowd favorite, who carved a niche for himself in ECW during the 90s and later in WWE from 2001. His recent match against Jungle Boy on AEW Dynamite was a testament to his enduring skills, even though the match ended with Jack Perry using a low blow to clinch the victory.

Addressing the rumors and the backlash from a section of fans, RVD took to Twitter to set the record straight. Contrary to the belief that he might have wronged WWE by appearing on AEW, RVD revealed that he had WWE’s blessing for his AEW debut. His tweet read, “Some fans are saying I did WWE wrong by appearing on AEW. I wonder if they would all eat shit if I revealed that I had permission to do it.”

AEW, on their part, seemed more than satisfied with RVD’s performance against Jack Perry. With such a successful stint, fans are eagerly awaiting RVD’s next move, hoping to see more of him on AEW television.
