Logan Kim Joins Steven Yeun in Netflix’s Pagans

The casting gives Walking Dead fans a familiar family connection

Summary

– Logan Kim will play Steven Yeun’s son in Pagans

– Sabine Grace, Marin Ireland and Intae Kim also join the cast

– Netflix has not announced a premiere date

Logan Kim will star opposite Steven Yeun in Netflix’s supernatural drama Pagans, creating an intriguing connection for fans of The Walking Dead.

Kim, who plays teenage Hershel Rhee in The Walking Dead: Dead City, has been cast as Nate, the son of Yeun’s character, Gus. Yeun previously portrayed Glenn Rhee, Hershel’s father, in the original series.

The actors never shared that father-son relationship on screen in The Walking Dead. Glenn died before Hershel was born, leaving the connection between their characters to carry through Maggie and her son’s story. Pagans now gives them a different family to portray together.

The series follows Gus as he raises two children after his wife’s death. His troubled relationship with his daughter Alice gradually becomes sinister.

Sabine Grace makes her television debut as Alice. Kim’s Nate is dependable and popular, but often feels overlooked beside his younger sister.

Marin Ireland joins as Janelle, a single mother struggling to connect with her teenage daughter. Intae Kim plays Casey, Gus’ younger brother, who helps the family despite receiving little appreciation.

Joshua Zetumer, the creator of Say Nothing, serves as showrunner and executive producer. Yeun also executive produces alongside Drew Goddard, Sarah Esberg, Jonathan van Tulleken, Erica Kay, and Christina Oh.

Netflix has ordered Pagans straight to series. A release date has not been announced.
