Omos Contemplates a Face Run in WWE but Worries About Being a Sympathetic Giant

The Challenge of Inspiration: WWE’s Omos Reflects on the Possibility of a Babyface Turn and the Complexities of Relatability

Omos, a towering figure in WWE, has been portrayed as a heel throughout his career. His intimidating presence and ability to dominate smaller opponents have made him a force to be reckoned with. However, in a recent interview with Blake Murphy of Sportsnet, Omos opened up about the possibility of a face run and the challenges it presents.

“From a psychology standpoint, it can be very challenging for someone who’s seven-foot-three, muscles and huge, and intimidating to get sympathy,” Omos said. He further explained that heels don’t inspire people, only babyfaces do, and for him, the challenge would be to inspire as a giant. “How can this big giant person inspire people? Because there’s no relatability to someone who’s seven-foot-three,” he added.

Omos also shared his thoughts on the natural inclination of audiences to root for the underdog, saying, “The moment where you see me with somebody smaller than me, the brain says I want the little guy to kick the big guy’s ass.”

Despite these challenges, Omos is living his dream and enjoying his time in WWE. “This is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. This is fun,” he expressed, emphasizing the joy of playing a character that people love or hate.
