A Hapeville officer turns a potentially negative encounter into a heartwarming story of community and gaming
In a heartwarming turn of events, a young boy in a suburb south of Atlanta, Georgia, received an unexpected gift from Hapeville Police Officer Colleran. The boy had been reported to the police by a local resident for trying to find yard work in the neighborhood, with the intention of saving up to buy a PlayStation. Instead of taking punitive action, Officer Colleran, a passionate gamer himself, decided to help the boy achieve his goal. In coordination with his department, Colleran presented the boy with a PlayStation 5 and an online gaming gift card, turning a potentially negative encounter into a story of community and shared passion for gaming.
