Experience the Power of the Gauntlet in the Sand-Covered World of Atlas Fallen
PlayStation has unveiled the combat trailer for “Atlas Fallen,” an action RPG set to launch on PS5 on August 10, 2023. The game, set in a devastated, sand-covered world, offers players the chance to seize the divine power of a mysterious Gauntlet and wield heroic abilities to defeat a tyrannic, almighty god.
In “Atlas Fallen,” players navigate a world drained by a merciless Sun God, leaving only dust on the surface. The lands of Atlas are perilous and enigmatic, deadly to air and travelers alike. However, upon discovering a divine artifact, the Gauntlet, players gain the power to shape the sand, providing a fighting chance against the Sun God’s wrath.
The Gauntlet serves as the primary source of offensive and defensive capabilities in the game. Players can equip two main weapons simultaneously, intertwining powerful combos and watching as each weapon evolves during combat, growing larger and more deadly. The action in “Atlas Fallen” is fast-paced, agile, and intense, with players moving freely on most terrains, rapidly jumping into action, evading attacks, and dashing through the air.
One of the unique combat features is the momentum mechanic. Every successful attack builds momentum, granting the ability to perform special attacks or trigger a range of effects in combat. However, the more momentum players have, the more damage they take, creating an intricate risk and reward mechanic that encourages strategic gameplay.
“Atlas Fallen” also offers more than 150 Essence Stones for complete playstyle customization. From armor sets with different stats to collect and upgrade, to Idols to enhance healing abilities, the game allows players to shape their own way to play. The game also features a wide bestiary, requiring players to adapt and play wisely. Target and attack specific body parts to incapacitate larger wraiths, disabling their attacks and making them drop unique resources.
The game is fully playable in online two-player co-op mode from start to finish, allowing friends to join and enjoy the full story campaign together. With diverse Essence Stones designed with cooperation in mind, players can protect each other, heal their partner’s wounds, and create builds with strong synergies.
