Former Sasha Banks Expected to Attend Event to Cheer on Close Friend

The wrestling world is buzzing with the news that Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, will be present backstage at Impact Wrestling’s upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view. Despite being sidelined with an ankle injury, Martinez is determined to show her unwavering support for her close friend, Trinity Fatu.

Trinity, widely known as Naomi, is set to have a significant night at Slammiversary as she competes against Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts Title. As the anticipation for this thrilling match builds, PW Insider has confirmed that Mercedes Martinez will be in attendance at the event in Windsor, Ontario.

While Mone is not expected to appear on camera, her presence speaks volumes about the deep bond between her and Trinity. Their friendship has been evident throughout their respective wrestling journeys. Martinez, along with WWE’s Tamina, was there to witness Trinity’s impactful debut for Impact Wrestling, while Trinity and Bayley traveled to Tokyo to support Mone during her first appearance for New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom.

Although Mone is currently recovering from an ankle injury, plans are already in place for her return to action in NJPW. Despite her own setback, Mone remains committed to supporting her friends and fellow wrestlers in their pursuits, showcasing the camaraderie and solidarity that exists within the professional wrestling community.
