Logan Paul Addresses Botched Move at Money In The Bank

Paul’s Encounter with Ricochet Leads to Backstage Tussle and Last-Minute Storyline Change

Logan Paul, despite being a relative newcomer to the WWE, has already made a significant impact with his matches against top Superstars like Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. However, his recent performance at the Money In The Bank Premium Live Event was marred by a major botched spot, which Paul has now addressed.

In the ladder match at the event, Paul showcased his wrestling prowess with some dangerous spots, including a splash onto Damian Priest. Despite his efforts, he couldn’t secure a win. A notable moment with Ricochet at the Royal Rumble, involving a Spanish fly onto a stack of tables, turned out to be a major botch, narrowly avoiding a dangerous outcome.

Speaking on his IMPAULSIVE podcast, Paul addressed the botched spot, confirming that he wasn’t injured and had attempted a Spanish fly for the spot. He said, “You saw, there was a botched move (in the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match). There was a botched move with a dangerous landing. I walked away this time relatively unscathed.”

Paul further explained the incident, “Ricochet and I were supposed to do what’s called a Spanish Fly off the top rope…when he hit that rope, it was before me so he moved it so I slipped down all the way to the bottom.” He admitted his inexperience, stating, “I’m a noob. I don’t really know what I’m doing out there so when stuff goes wrong, I don’t really know how to improv.”

The incident led to a backstage tussle with Ricochet, with Paul stating, “I’m gonna be honest, he blew the f****** match for me. That’s why we got into it backstage. I got into a little tussle with him. I felt like he was a little unprofessional.”

In the aftermath of the botched spot, WWE made a last-minute change to Logan Paul’s storyline. As the feud between Paul and Ricochet has been building since the Royal Rumble match in January, it will be interesting to see how WWE will handle their storyline moving forward.
