Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins Addresses the NXT Universe After Retaining His Title

In an exclusive interview after the NXT Gold Rush event on June 20, 2023, “The Visionary” Seth “Freakin” Rollins took a moment to address the NXT Universe. The night was eventful, marking Rollins’ return to NXT, where he successfully retained his title.

Rollins expressed his gratitude to the NXT Universe, saying, “The reason I come down here to NXT and defend the world heavyweight championship is because I love this. And this title deserves that respect.” He went on to acknowledge the champions who came before him, such as Harley Race, Rick Flair, Bret the Hitman Hart, and Mr. Five Time Booker T. He thanked them for their contributions to the prestige of the world heavyweight championship.

Rollins also shared a personal story about his return to NXT. He admitted that he didn’t initially feel nostalgic or emotional about his return, given his extensive experiences around the world. However, once he stepped into the NXT ring, he felt the energy and vitality of the NXT Universe, which reminded him of his early days in NXT.
