Seth Rollins, the self-proclaimed Visionary of WWE, has a reputation for delivering stellar performances and stirring up a bit of chaos along the way. This week on RAW, he did just that, but now he’s hoping he didn’t ruffle too many feathers, particularly those of Buddy Matthews, with his Rhea Ripley segment.
Buddy Matthews, formerly known as Buddy Murphy in WWE, and Rhea Ripley have been in a real-life relationship for several months. Despite working for different companies, they’ve been vocal about their mutual support and affection on social media.
In a memorable moment from this week’s Monday Night RAW, Rollins and Ripley recreated a scene from the 2006 Survivor Series event, originally performed by Shawn Michaels and Melina.
During an appearance on WWE’s The Bump, Rollins addressed the incident, extending a message to Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, and Matthews.
“I hope Rhea wasn’t too offended. Hopefully, Dom Dom [Dominik Mysterio] wasn’t too offended. I hope my old protege Murphy wasn’t too offended.”
Matthews recently responded to a mention of Dominik Mysterio during AEW Double Or Nothing last week. As for Rollins, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, fans are eagerly waiting to see what the WWE has planned for him next.
