WWE parent company remains invested in the combined sports distribution business
Summary
– TKO will remain a minority shareholder following DAZN’s acquisition of EverPass Media
– The NFL and RedBird will also hold minority stakes in the combined company
– EverPass distributes major live sports programming to commercial venues across the United States
TKO will remain financially involved with EverPass Media following DAZN’s acquisition of the commercial sports distribution company.
EverPass was originally founded by the NFL’s 32 Equity investment arm and RedBird Capital Partners, with TKO later becoming an investor. Under the new agreement, TKO, RedBird, and the NFL will become minority shareholders in the combined DAZN-EverPass business.
That makes the deal notable from a wrestling perspective because TKO is the parent company of WWE and UFC. Rather than exiting its EverPass investment following the acquisition, TKO will retain an ownership position as DAZN expands the platform.
EverPass specializes in delivering premium live sports to commercial locations such as bars, restaurants, and hotels. Its portfolio includes commercial rights tied to NFL Sunday Ticket as well as sports programming from Peacock, Netflix, Paramount, and Apple.
DAZN CEO Shay Segev said EverPass gives the company an established commercial distribution platform and strong relationships with venues throughout the United States. The acquisition allows DAZN to serve both individual streaming customers and businesses looking to provide live sports programming to their customers.
The NFL also remains involved following the transaction. Executive vice president of media distribution Hans Schroeder said the league plans to continue working with DAZN and EverPass to expand the commercial reach of NFL Sunday Ticket.
For TKO, the acquisition means its investment in EverPass now becomes part of a larger DAZN-backed operation rather than disappearing altogether. The company will continue to hold a minority stake alongside the NFL and RedBird as the combined business expands its commercial sports distribution presence.
