SmackDown Women’s Champion reflects on her journey, defends her title, and eyes a dream match with Trish Stratus
Summary
– Tiffany Stratton details her unexpected path into wrestling and rapid rise to champion
– Addresses tension with Charlotte Flair and plans for WrestleMania 41
– Discusses Ludwig Kaiser, women’s storytelling, and aspirations beyond the ring
Tiffany Stratton may be WWE’s rising golden girl, but she never planned for this path. The reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion spoke openly during her European tour about transitioning from gymnastics to CrossFit, bodybuilding, and finally to wrestling—thanks to a little push from her mom and a chance encounter with trainer Greg Gier. After impressing early, she earned a WWE tryout and got signed just one week later.
Stratton’s stardom surged after her NXT run and main roster debut in 2024. Now, at 25 years old, she heads into WrestleMania 41 for a marquee title defense against Charlotte Flair. Though she admits Flair inspired her interest in wrestling, Stratton didn’t mince words about their recent SmackDown segment. “Congrats to Charlotte, a 15-year veteran burying a rookie in an interview,” she said. “I hope she got the TV time she desperately needed.”
Despite the pressure, Stratton remains focused. She views this WrestleMania as a launching pad, not a finish line. “I’ve got at least 10 to 15 WrestleManias left in me,” she said. “I’m just getting started.”
Stratton also addressed criticism of storytelling in the women’s division, expressing optimism under Triple H’s leadership. She praised long-term angles involving Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Jade Cargill, and Naomi and said she sees the potential for women to headline storylines consistently moving forward.
She even hinted at dream intergender action, naming Ludwig Kaiser as a potential opponent. The two, a real-life couple, often “play fight,” Stratton believes Kaiser is world title material. “He’s patient, he’s worked for everything, and he has it all.”
When asked about facing all Four Horsewomen, Stratton welcomed the challenge. She’s already defeated Bayley and looks to overcome Flair. A future showdown with Becky Lynch or Mercedes Moné would complete that chapter—and perhaps solidify her as the division’s new leader.
Outside the ring, Stratton has fitness, acting, and creative storytelling aspirations. Her ideal dream match? Facing Trish Stratus in a WrestleMania street fight in Minneapolis.
Whether it’s 2K25, SmackDown, or a potential future faction with Judgment Day, Tiffany Stratton is aiming high—and owning every second.
