WWE star provides first full update since December injury and confirms successful recovery
Summary
– Kairi Sane underwent surgery for a torn thumb ligament
– She says she has fully regained grip strength and feels stronger than ever
– Sane has been out since an attack by the Pure Fusion Collective in December
Kairi Sane has broken her silence with a major update on her injury status. The WWE star confirmed that she recently completed recovery from thumb ligament surgery following an attack last December that took her off television.
In a social media post, Sane revealed the full extent of the injury for the first time. “Three months ago, I tore a ligament in my thumb and couldn’t even open a bottle cap,” she wrote. “Now, I’ve fully regained my grip strength—and I’m even stronger than before.”
She thanked Dr. Hirsch, who performed the procedure, calling him kind and supportive. Sane originally confirmed the injury in January but had not previously shared details about the surgery.
The injury occurred after Sane was attacked by the Pure Fusion Collective late last year. Since then, she’s been absent from the ring, leaving fans speculating about when she might return.
Now that she’s medically cleared and feeling stronger, her comeback could be just around the corner—and WWE’s women’s division may want to take notice.
