Rivalry reignites as McIntyre targets revenge in Las Vegas

Summary

– Match confirmed for WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium

– Priest cashed in on McIntyre last year after his World Title win

– McIntyre cleared for action following recent eye injury

Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest are officially locked in for WrestleMania 41, with their one-on-one showdown scheduled at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19 or 20.

This match brings their heated rivalry full circle. Last year, McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40—only to have Priest cash in his Money in the Bank contract moments later to steal the gold.

Since then, Priest has made McIntyre’s life miserable, eliminating him from both the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber and later injuring him with a vicious chokeslam onto a car windshield. McIntyre has appeared with an eye patch ever since.

Despite the injury, McIntyre has now been cleared for in-ring competition. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis made the match official, although which night the bout will take place has not yet been announced.

WrestleMania 41 just added another must-see bout, and McIntyre looks determined to finally get his revenge under the brightest lights in the business.
