Death Riders gain momentum as Rated FTR stumbles before Trios Title clash
Summary
– PAC pinned Cash Wheeler following a bell hammer shot during AEW Collision
– Match previewed the Trios Title bout featuring Rated FTR and Adam Copeland vs. Death Riders
– Tension grew between Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler after the loss
On the April 5 episode of AEW Collision, PAC scored a major singles win over Cash Wheeler just one night before their teams clash at AEW Dynasty. But it wasn’t a clean finish.
The match featured nonstop action and intense striking from both men. PAC controlled much of the match with his kicks and technical offense, but Cash stayed in the fight with signature suplexes and aerial counters. The pace quickened as Cash countered PAC’s Black Arrow twice, once with a top-rope suplex and later with a piledriver for a near-fall.
As the action escalated, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta interfered, leading to a chaotic scene. Dax Harwood and Adam Copeland rushed in, but the distraction allowed PAC to use a bell hammer behind the referee’s back. He followed it with a crucifix pin for the win.
After the bell, visible frustration appeared on Cash’s face, as Dax looked apologetic and Copeland showed concern. With Rated FTR and Copeland set to challenge the Death Riders for the Trios Championship at AEW Dynasty, the failed interference may cost them more than just momentum.
