Kelani Jordan stunned the NXT Universe by defeating Roxanne Perez in a North American Championship qualifying match on WWE NXT. The match secured Jordan a spot in the six-woman ladder for Stand & Deliver in Las Vegas.
A former two-time Women’s Champion, Perez entered the match with momentum and experience. She controlled much of the action, punishing Jordan’s previously injured arm and nearly winning with a knee strike to the back of the head. Despite her advantage, Perez could not finish the match.
Jordan rallied late with a sudden burst of offense, landing a Northern Lights Suplex and a modified DDT that brought her inches away from victory. Jordan countered with a knee as Perez looked for Pop Rox, followed by a split-legged moonsault—the second attempt connected, earning her a three-count and shocking the crowd.
Jordan, the first-ever Women’s North American Champion, joins Zarya in the ladder match. With Stand & Deliver just around the corner, she’s one step closer to making history again.
