– Garcia will remain part of WWE through special events like Saturday Night’s Main Event

Lilian Garcia has confirmed that her recent return to WWE as a full-time ring announcer was never meant to be permanent. During a conversation with Chris Van Vliet, Garcia addressed speculation surrounding her status after stepping back into the spotlight last fall to fill in for Samantha Irvin.

Garcia rejoined WWE programming in October 2024 and was seen regularly on Monday Night RAW, sparking excitement from fans who remembered her as the voice of WWE for over a decade. However, she explained that her time as a regular ring announcer was always planned as a temporary stint.

“It was never supposed to be a full-time thing forever,” Garcia clarified. With WWE transitioning into a new era, Garcia acknowledged the shift in roles and focus but emphasized her commitment to the brand.

The longtime WWE staple will remain with the company in a different capacity, moving into featured appearances and special programming like the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC and Peacock. While she won’t be announcing matches weekly, Garcia made it clear that her bond with WWE is far from over.

“This is home for me. I’m not going anywhere,” she said, reaffirming her connection to the WWE Universe.

Initially hired in 1999, Garcia became one of the most recognizable voices in WWE history. Her contributions spanned multiple eras, and her recent comeback only reminded fans why she remains such an iconic figure.
