Summary
– Mandy Rose shared on her Power Alphas podcast that she’s dealing with cervical spine issues
– X-rays revealed arthritis in her C6, C7, and C8 vertebrae, along with disc degeneration
– While not ruling out a return, she’s prioritizing her health and ongoing treatments
Mandy Rose has opened up about the physical toll her wrestling career has taken on her body, revealing that a return to the ring may not be in her immediate future. Speaking on her Power Alphas podcast, the former NXT Women’s Champion discussed the health concerns that led her to seek chiropractic treatment.
During a January trip to the Bahamas, Rose began experiencing numbness and tingling in her hands. Further testing revealed arthritis in her cervical spine, as well as disc degeneration in her C6, C7, and C8 vertebrae. While she doesn’t require surgery, she acknowledged that wrestling again may not be the best choice for her body right now.
“Right now, I feel like a wrestling return for me wouldn’t really make much sense because of the wear and tear it does on your body,” Rose explained, emphasizing that she’s focused on decompression therapy and adjustments to manage her condition.
Although she isn’t officially retiring, Rose is shifting her focus to new opportunities while prioritizing her long-term health. Whether she eventually steps back into the ring remains to be seen, but she’s taking the time to heal for now.
