Jack Bauer’s relentless pursuit of threats to national security brings him face-to-face with a familiar figure—former President Charles Logan. Their history is filled with betrayal, but with nuclear weapons still in play, Jack is forced to seek Logan’s insight.
Upon arriving at Logan’s estate, Jack presses for information on Dmitri Gredenko, the man behind supplying terrorist Abu Fayed with Russian tactical nukes. Logan, claiming to have reformed, acknowledges Gredenko’s role and asserts that the key to locating him lies with Russian Consul General Anatoly Markov.
CTU had already contacted Markov but was only met with denials. Logan, however, dismisses those responses as lies. He warns that Markov has deep connections within the Russian government, making traditional methods useless. Instead, he offers to contact Markov, using leverage from past dealings to extract the necessary intelligence.
Jack remains skeptical, questioning Logan’s motivations and credibility. Logan, however, insists that if they truly want to locate Gredenko before another bomb detonates, trusting him may be the only option left.
