Summary

– A first-look image reveals Lincoln’s character in a tense and bloodstained moment
Andrew Lincoln is stepping away from the zombie apocalypse and into a gripping psychological thriller with Cold Water, an upcoming ITV miniseries. For fans who only know him as Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead, this role will showcase Lincoln in a completely different light—embracing his natural British accent and portraying a man whose life takes a dark turn.
Lincoln stars as John, a man who relocates his family from London to the rural town of Coldwater amid a personal crisis. Hoping for a fresh start, he finds himself pulled into a dangerous friendship with his neighbor, Tommy (played by Ewen Bremner). Despite appearing well-adjusted and in a relationship with the town vicar, Rebecca (Eve Myles), Tommy isn’t who he seems. John’s wife, Fiona (Indira Varma), quickly senses something is off, but by the time John realizes the truth, he’s already too deep.
The first-look image from the series features Lincoln in a buttoned-up blue shirt with a bloodstained collar, offering a glimpse into the tension and danger at the show’s heart. This marks Lincoln’s first major television role outside The Walking Dead universe in years, following his return as Rick Grimes in The Ones Who Live. With Cold Water, he takes on a new kind of survival story that trades zombies for psychological suspense.
Cold Water is set to premiere later this year.
