Warner Bros. Discovery adds past AEW PPVs, but future streaming plans remain unclear
Summary
– AEW pay-per-views from 2020 to 2024 will be available on Max starting March 1
– AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision are already simulcast on the platform
– No confirmation on when live AEW PPVs will stream on Max
AEW’s presence on Max is expanding, as Warner Bros. Discovery has confirmed that past AEW pay-per-views from 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 will be added to the platform on March 1. This follows AEW’s initial debut on Max on January 1, when episodes of AEW Dynamite from 2019 and the live simulcasts of AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision were introduced.
The newly added content will be listed under AEW Special Events, covering all major AEW pay-per-view events from the past five years. However, Warner Bros. Discovery has not yet announced if or when live AEW pay-per-views will be available for streaming on Max.
AEW President Tony Khan has previously discussed the importance of Max for AEW’s growth, but the long-term plans for pay-per-view distribution remain uncertain. Fans now have access to a larger archive of AEW content, but whether this signals a shift toward streaming AEW pay-per-views live remains to be seen.
