Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to Settle Their Feud in Toronto
Summary
– Sami Zayn challenged Kevin Owens to a match in Toronto despite not being medically cleared
– General Manager Adam Pearce agreed to an unsanctioned match, allowing anything to go
– The bout joins two high-stakes Elimination Chamber matches on the March 1 card
WWE Elimination Chamber just got even more intense, as an unsanctioned match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens has been made official. The two longtime rivals are set to collide in Toronto on March 1 after a heated confrontation on Raw.
Zayn, determined to face Owens in their hometown, refused to leave the ring until his challenge was accepted. Despite not being medically cleared, he demanded the match, forcing General Manager Adam Pearce to grant the bout under unsanctioned rules. With no restrictions in place, anything goes when these two meet.
Their rivalry reignited two weeks ago when Owens attacked Zayn with a package piledriver after Zayn lost an Elimination Chamber qualifying match to CM Punk. Owens later claimed Zayn betrayed him by not helping him win the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. The bad blood will come to a head in what promises to be a brutal showdown.
Alongside this grudge match, WWE Elimination Chamber will feature the Men’s Chamber match, with John Cena, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and Damian Priest set to compete. The Women’s Chamber match is also stacked, with Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, Bianca Belair, Bayley, and Naomi confirmed.
With the stakes at an all-time high, the road to WrestleMania just got even more unpredictable.
