Roman Reigns sat down with CBS Sports’ Shaquille Majouri to discuss his reign as WWE’s longest-tenured world champion in 36 years and his role as the cover star for WWE 2K25. As the face of the Bloodline, Reigns has led the most dominant faction in modern wrestling, and now, their influence is deeply woven into this year’s game.
One of WWE 2K25’s biggest features is the Bloodline Dynasty showcase, allowing fans to relive the origins of his family’s wrestling history. Reigns sees this as a chance to educate new generations on the Samoan dynasty.
“We’ve done such a phenomenal job over the past few years that WWE 2K25 is created around one man, one family,” Reigns said. “To imprint the showcase mode with Bloodline moments and relive them, it’s all part of the plan. It’s a collaborative effort—everybody believes in what we do, and that’s why it’s so good.”
Reigns also reflected on Sami Zayn’s role in the faction, admitting he saw the potential to elevate Zayn and add a new dynamic to the group.
“I’ll take full responsibility for Sami. He brought something completely different, and I knew we could build off that,” Reigns explained. “I could show a few different layers of myself, and we could elevate him. He helped us, but we helped him greatly.”
Another name that came up was Jon Moxley, Reigns’ former Shield teammate, who he described as unpredictable but always dependable.
“You couldn’t GPS him—he’d disappear at the airport, then pop up out of nowhere with a coffee and a half-eaten croissant,” Reigns recalled. “There were times when the Shield music hit, and we’d look at each other like, ‘Where’s Mox?’ But when it was time to walk down those steps, he was always there.”
With WWE 2K25 set for release in March, Reigns made one final pitch:
“Select me, acknowledge me, and win. It’ll make your life much better—you’re welcome.”
