WWE’s former headquarters at 1241 E. Main St. in Stamford has a new future as the building transitions from corporate offices to residential space. Last month, the wrestling giant sold the six-story property to real estate firm MB Financial Group for $3.75 million.
MB Financial, with offices in Branford and Boston, has experience in redevelopment and sees potential in transforming the site into an apartment complex. CEO Michael Massimino highlighted the prime location, noting its proximity to the Stamford-Darien line and its unique waterfront views.
With WWE now based in downtown Stamford, its longtime headquarters will soon take on a new identity. No response was received from WWE regarding the sale.
