Contract Talks Stall as WWE and Bliss Remain at a Standstill
Summary
– Alexa Bliss was set for a surprise Raw return but stalled negotiations changed plans
– WWE refused to negotiate a new deal with enhanced perks, leaving her off creative plans
– Bliss was expected to be involved with The Wyatt Sicks before they moved to SmackDown
Alexa Bliss’ return to WWE remains uncertain as a contract dispute has left both sides at an impasse. A new report indicates Bliss was initially scheduled for a surprise return on the January 13th episode of Raw in San Jose but was pulled after negotiations over a new deal fell through.
Bliss’ team reportedly sought a contract with enhanced perks rather than continuing under an extension of her existing deal. WWE refused, leading to her removal from any creative plans. She was expected to be part of The Wyatt Sicks faction, but with their move to SmackDown, any potential involvement appears off the table.
Dave Meltzer noted that discussions between Bliss and WWE were ongoing, but no agreement had been reached. Bliss last appeared at the 2023 Royal Rumble, challenging Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship. She and her husband, Ryan Cabrera, welcomed their first child in November 2023.
Despite teasing a return in recent months, Bliss stated it wasn’t up to her. She has since taken on voice acting roles for Netflix projects, but WWE’s plans remain unclear.
