Declares himself the history maker ahead of WWE’s biggest match
Summary
– CM Punk vows to win his first Royal Rumble and headline WrestleMania
– He takes shots at Roman Reigns, John Cena, Drew McIntyre, and Sami Zayn
– Punk says he will “settle scores” and throw 29 other men over the top rope
CM Punk is ready to make history once again. With the Royal Rumble just weeks away, Punk made it clear that he intends to walk into Indianapolis, throw 29 other superstars over the top rope, and finally secure his spot in the WrestleMania main event.
Speaking on Raw, Punk reminded everyone that he recently main-evented the first Raw live on Netflix and defeated Seth Rollins—one of the favorites to win the Rumble. He called it a “fickle business” and said he’s making history.
When the names of Roman Reigns, John Cena, Drew McIntyre, and Sami Zayn were brought up, Punk didn’t hold back. He dismissed Zayn as “not on his level,” claimed Reigns needed his help at WarGames, and mocked Cena, saying, “I can’t see John Cena throwing me over the top rope.” He even took a shot at wrestling’s past, saying if Hulk Hogan entered the Rumble, he’d personally end Hulkamania.
With the stakes at their highest, Punk is confident that on February 1, he will be the last man standing, settling old scores and cashing in debts. The WWE Universe waits to see if he can back up his words and finally punch his ticket to WrestleMania.
