Santino Marella, a beloved WWE personality from the late 2000s to early 2010s, has shared an exciting idea for this year’s Royal Rumble. Speaking on the No Name Wrestling podcast, Marella proposed making a unique return alongside his daughter, Arianna Grace, preparing for her re-debut following shoulder surgery.
Marella’s pitch involves both father and daughter participating in the exact Royal Rumble match, an unprecedented scenario in WWE history. He expressed enthusiasm for the idea, calling it a great way to bring Grace back into programming and a memorable experience they could share.
“Well, they haven’t called yet. I did, though. My daughter—she had a little shoulder surgery. She’s back in the ring now, but she hasn’t re-debuted yet. So, I’ve been pitching the idea. I don’t think it’s ever been done before: a father and daughter in the same Royal Rumble. It’d be a great way for her to return to programming, and I’m totally down to show up and just experience it.”
Marella is the Director of Authority in TNA, playing a pivotal role in match decisions. Fans have appreciated his continued involvement in wrestling, including moments he’s shared with Grace during events like TNA’s Victory Road.
The 2025 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event is on February 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Fans are eagerly watching to see if WWE will take Marella up on his pitch, as it would surely be a crowd-pleaser.
