Despite being interested in such a match, Goldberg admitted he has yet to think much about who he would face. His last match occurred over two years ago against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber in February 2022.
Goldberg revealed that he initially considered Sting a potential opponent for his final match. However, he ultimately decided against it to avoid overshadowing Sting’s retirement. “I have no business being anywhere near that because I don’t deserve to be. It’s all about him, and therefore he wasn’t an option because of that,” Goldberg explained.
Goldberg is still contemplating his options for a retirement match and is focusing on recovering from a rotator cuff injury. Additionally, he has recently dismissed the possibility of working with AEW.
