He returned to WWE in 2022 but was rereleased in a round of cuts in September 2023. Since then, he has wrestled for TNA, MLW, and other companies.
Speaking with Justin and Wheezy on The Wrestling Classic, AJ Francis discussed his second WWE run. Justin noted that getting to work with his friends and Bray Wyatt must have made it worth it.
“Absolutely, absolutely. The second run was worth it, and I’m telling you now, it’s probably not gonna be the last run. I have a good relationship with the people at WWE. I was backstage when they were in Houston just because I happened to be in town with Bun B. Bun wanted to come to the show, but he was booked. Then he ended up coming with me to TNA, and that was really cool,” Francis said.
Francis emphasized his positive connections within WWE, suggesting another stint with the company could be in his future. He also appreciated the opportunity to work alongside Bray Wyatt and his friends, which added significant value to his second run.
